Contagious enthusiasm made a person, Laury Melissa Checo is a mother, friend, colleague and young entrepreneur in the field of beauty.  Born in Santo Domingo, National District of the Dominican Republic - our dear Laury, who is better known as Melissa, has a degree in business marketing from the University of the Caribbean, and studied beauty studies under the secretary of state of education of the Dominican Republic.

In 2008, encouraged by her then life partner, Laury Melissa emigrated to Connecticut, United States, from where she entered the field of beauty for the first time.  One year later, driven by an inexhaustible desire to pursue continued development and growth, Laury Melissa sets her sights on New York City - where by tenacity or providence she ends up taking a position as a hairstylist at the renowned salon, Fantasy Hair & Spa. .

This last step decisively marked her commitment to developing her skills in the field of beauty.  Her tenure at Fantasy Hair & Spa brought with it the opportunity to find the then owner and founder of Fantasy, Eugenia Delgado (Luz), a mentor, motivator, and driver.  

Consistent with her humble way of following advice, Laury Melissa listens attentively to the teachings and recommendations of Eugenia (Luz), and after some moments of discouragement she manages to solidly master the almost compulsive method of rendering services aimed at perfection that, with a lot of support and dedication, her mentor then demanded.  

Also motivated by the many tips, Laury Melissa devotes herself to learning English as a second language and eventually takes the logical step of diversifying on her own by launching her first beauty salon in New York and ultimately making her way in Ohio where she is now in the process of launch of the Melissa Dominican Hair Style salon.

Assuming the responsibility of sharing what she has learned along the way, and understanding the importance of blessing the rising generation, Laury Melissa recommends that every entrepreneur in the world of beauty remember to put love into work, to serve with passion, and to enjoy the compensation that exceeds beyond financial remuneration.

Your greatest achievement? – be a mother and have a healthy family.  On the other hand, Laury Melissa wants to replicate what she learned at Fantasy Hair & Spa and leave a legacy carefully advancing the interests of all those who operate in the industry.
